Abstract:

Staphylococcal enterotoxin B (SEB) is one of several exotoxins that may be produced by . Depending on the strain, can produce a variety of extracellular proteins that act as virulence factors. Among these are toxic shock syndrome toxin 1 (TSST-1), exfoliative toxins A and B, and a family of structurally related proteins classified as enterotoxins ( ).
